man its not about receiving sympathy from others. All people want are respect for their own beliefs. I'm a Catholic, and if you're an atheist, I wouldn't mind at all and I wouldn't try to convert you. Not everyone is the same and I don't expect everyone to be just like me. I suggest you just be open-minded to new ideas and just follow to what sounds good for you. And also, keep in mind that not all devoted Christians are constantly trying to convert people by putting down everyone else. I call those extremists. Please don't choose to be ignorant.

i happen to be catholic as well. baptized, not practicing. i find the catholic religion too demanding. they want me to do all these things that i dont even think are necessary. i guess i would consider myself agnostic, but i mostly do believe in god. i just dont follow a religion.

I still practice but one thing we have in common is that we don't agree everything that the Church tells us. In my belief, I think its fine. There are some man-made rules in the Church that I think are quite irrational and like the saying goes, "to err is human". Jesus never promoted Catholicism or Christianity in general. He only spoke the word of God. I feel that Catholicism HELPS guides me and gives me a firm foundation in life. I take what I need and find my way to Heaven. I hope this all makes some sense to you.

I think Christianity started with Peter when Christ said to "build my church". But I don't think Peter intended Christianity to be what it is like today. Christianity is its own form of government!! crazy stuff... I don't know too much about it but you can definitely look more into it.

All I believe for sure is that there must be Heaven and Hell. From a logical perspective, I would take a gamble with my life and bet that theres a Heaven. I would spend the rest of my life til death trying to make it to eternal paradise with the help of the Bible. And if there isn't a Heaven and Hell, then I have nothing to lose.

Why does everyone pull the gay card like that? People who hate gays wouldn't go to heaven , the commandments say to LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR. You're supposed to forgive people you have to LOVE people and not criticize them. And being gay is a minor sin at best. It's only spoken of only twice in the entire Bible and never condemned by Christ. I don't think homophobes would go to heaven. What's wrong with liking the Bible? And Rule sticklers? Sure, who needs people with morals who care about one another and don't want to hurt people. I don't want to gossip anymore because of God, what's so bad about that? Now I won't spread rumors or hurt people with slander. Even if what I gossip about is true, it's none of my business in the first place. Because the rules of God and the Bible I try to love people more and try to do the right thing. what's so bad about doing the right thing and loving people?

Goodness, whoever thinks that jerks will get into heaven is dead wrong. Love on another and choose the right. And you don't have to believe in God to get into heaven either. Atheists aren't condemned. Neither are gays. NO ONE can say who will get in and who won't because we aren't God. Goodness, some people need to stop playing God and start accepting others.

I know! Who are we to judge others? Still, the ten commandments specifically say that if you worship false idols, you are committing a sin. For people who live in certain places without Christianity however, they're excused for worshipping idols I guess because they've never heard the word of God. Like in China, it's communist so they don't teach any religion in the country. But the Bible says the word of God is written on our hearts, which means if we listen to our concience and do what's right even without knowledge of God or scripture, you'll be okay.

If Heaven and Hell do exist, then I don't think we have the right to determine who goes to Hell and who makes it to Heaven. I think we should just all do what we think is right and worry about our own definitions of "Heaven" and try to get there. That's the best way I can put it.
