well technically, didn't medusa have the body of a serpant for her lower half? so then she would'nt have pubic hair at all.

Not in the classic literature ... she was a Gorgon, generally described as a winged human female with living venomous snakes in place of hair. Though Freud, of course, tied the whole myth to boys being threatened with castration and catching sight of their naked mothers. LOL
