+142 It's kind of creepy that so many teenage girls think a sparkly blood-sucking 109 year old man that stalks you would be the perfect man, amirite?

I don't think it's the 109 years or stalking that appeals to them, but rather he's an attractive guy who's devoted and displays such ardent love for his significant other and it gives them hope that someone exists out there who can love them as wholeheartedly. So, yeah..

Meh.He still is really obsessive and scary. But I see your point, a little.

hmmmm..I think the movie made him seem all obsessive and scary and stuff. Like when you first read twilight before you see the movie like most people did, you don't imagine Edward as robert pattinson, you imagine him as some really REALLY attractive guy who cares about bella and all that stuff blah blah blahh but once you see robert pattinson as edward...THEN the creepy stalker-ness comes in well, thats the way I see it :]

Another thing that bothers me about the theme of Twilight saga itself is the whole "I'll kill myself if you die" thing. Bella goes crazy when he leaves and I don't think it's a good message to be portraying with that unhealthy bond between them.

yeah, but what bothers me is the amount of things you know about him?

Well I read the books so I could criticize them correctly, unlike those people who are all ZOMG I HATES THE TWILIGHT! I can say Twilight isn't preaching a good message because I've read it.

I haven't read it because I'm too proud...and I know they have a bad message and I am a vulnerable teen-age girl...(not to mention my Harry Potter obsession, but I don't want to make myself sound like a jerk)
