+711 It's not fair that some famous person can write a book and immediately get it on New York Time's best seller list, even though it might not be that good, but an aspiring author could write an amazing book that would be disregarded, amirite?

It's how life is.

Same with music...think of all the potentially awesome music you'll never hear because you'll never know of its existence..

(I can't reply on my phone) a similar one was, but it was about time instead of publicity affecting whether or not one could hear the music

Hilary Duff's Elixir is #10 on New York Times Best Seller list

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Have you read it?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, but that's not what i was referring to with this post.

Then you have no idea if it's good or not. For all you know it can be an amazing book, sure more people will pick it up because more people know about the author and are intrigued but still she may have (doubt it) written a book worthy of being on the best sellers list

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i'm just saying, it came out October 12 & it's already on the Best Sellers list because she's Hilary Duff.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Shut up and stop complaining I'm sure your book is terrible.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lmao. i didn't write a book. y

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But Hilary Duff did so she is better than everybody.

Lauren Conrad

Famous people more likely to sell books because they're famous hence making the BEST SELLER list. But the obscure writer is more likely to win an award that actually matters(assuming the book is good enough).
