+373 if we planted trees in all the pointless empty fields in the countryside we'd help the environment, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

who's paying for that?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

the government, obviously

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that would be an awful idea. government has no authority to do that

by Anonymous 13 years ago

School/church groups that are looking for community service.

Then where will the farmers who own the fields grow their crops?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, feilds are an ecosystem too. I actually cut down trees as part of community service to help the environment, because wild feilds are becoming too scarce.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I agree. fields are there for a reason.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

read the above. if you can find a field that is absolutely pointless, go ahead and plant trees.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think it would be better if you planted them in the empty lots in cities.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If there is an empty feild, there is a reason for it.

What about horses, cows, etc? They need fields...and if fields were destroyed, It would drastically change the ecosystem, and not neccasarily in a positive way. If something as small as the absence of mice can destroy forests I'm pretty sure the absence of pastures and field would do even more.
