+187 The fourth book in the Inheritance Cycle (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr) will never be released, at least not before I'm sixty, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It better not be!!!! I was happy/sad Brisingr wasn't the last book but i still REEEEEEAAAAALLLY wanna know how it ends!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, me too. And please no spoilers, guys. I have yet to read the third one. I decided to wait until four comes out so I wouldn't have to reread it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i thought it was a trilogy?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not any more. See comment below.

It was originally slated to be a trilogy, but Paolini found that he had so much that he wanted/needed to include into the storyline that it just had to be concluded in a 4th book. And I'm so glad that there's going to be another one. I love the other 3!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(L.K.): I know. But it's been SO long since three came out. And there isn't even a planned release for four yet. He's still writing it!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

oh ohk kool! i love his books and i only read 3 lik a yr ago cuz i didnt kno it had come out but then i saw someone reading it and i was lik woah the 3rd 1!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He doesn't even know the fricking title... I was there for the release of the third, GIMME THE FOURTH.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He probably doesn't even know what happens. It was something he did as a kid an now that he is "grown up" he's lost intrest.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm pretty sure the forth one is supporsed to be called Glaedr (like the old, one armed dragon)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I read Eragon in 4th grade [or 5th?] and started to read the 2nd. The movie pissed me off, though. How WAS the series?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

A lot of people are going to hate me for this... But I detest Roran. He is an idiot.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

am I the only one that's lost here? sorry, I've never heard of it :/

by Anonymous 13 years ago

...Google. Anyways, if you look back at the release dates for the past three books, they're all spaced three years apart. So, if he takes three years to write a book, book 4 should come out late this year or sometime next year. Whee. I'm actually hoping it doesn't expand into a fifth book, purely because it takes him so damn long to write one.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I did, it's a collection or series right? I just never heard of it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, it's a series of books by Christopher Paolini. I may have misspelled is last name..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

is it good? how come I've never heard of it ._.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They're good, but have almost the same plot as Star Wars in a gothic fantasy setting. And DRAGONS!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

._. I thought it was a classic until I heard that^ now i'm thinking harry potter/ fantasy

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, they're good. Granted, I've never had any interest in Star Wars, so I can't say anything about the two being similar. If you like dragons, try them out.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There are just a lot of similarities: an evil empire in control, an small group of resistence that weilds a mysterious power, the main character turns out to be the baddie's son... I hadn't even realized this though until it was pointed out to me.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

nice spoiler... but is it a good book? -_- but the son part was a big spoiler...yeah

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's obvious that his father is special from the outset, but that's not even one of the biggest twists.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

oh? well how long as the series been on?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

??? um...what?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's so good! I can't wait to finally finish the series.
