i am a christain. alot of others are stupid. They believe god is both omnipotent and prolife. If he was prolife then why did he make it so we all die in the end? Christians-- and all religions w/ similar problems-- need to be less hypocritical, amirite?
you're just saying my point. we were immortal, then adam and eve screwed everything up. God got mad and changed us so we DO die in the end instead of living forever. Therefore, God makes us die. He changed us from immortal to mortal. No matter whose fault (Adam and Eve) he is the one who changed us.
Correction, Lucifer WAS an angel until he chose to disobey God. Its all about free will. God loves us unconditionally, and he wants that love back, but he's not going to force it (would you want a love you had to force out of someone?) Thats not genuine. So he gave us free will to make our own decisions and choose to love him. Adam and Eve also had free choice, which they used to sin. That came with consequences, mortality, because every action has a consequence. So, God would love for us to live forever, but he cant impose anything on us because loves us. Also, pro life means not taking the life of an unborn child. Doing so would be murder, and that is an abomination, hence God is prolife. Hope that made sense, thanks for bringing this up! :)
i posted this because of a circumstantial story. A baby had "mermaid" syndrome and no kidneys or bladder. 0% chance of survival. Would god want it to suffer for the minutes it would be alive or a death that would last about 2 seconds? he loves us all (I believe that), I also know prolife is about abortion, but the word itself prolife is what i'm talking about. if making us live forever would force the love, he does not want it, therefore he does not want us to live forever, and the literal definition of prolife is unseen. I understand your point and I agree with it to a limit that doesn't make me not agree with myself.
He didn't change us. That where a lot of people have it wrong. We didn't anger God and he decided to give us all diseases and kill us. No. When man sinned, it brought authority of the world, which man had, to satan. He causes sickness, disease and death. And to go along with ur point, if we all die in the end anyway like ur saying, serial killers shouldn't go to jail either? They're just speeding it up, that's all. That's all abortion is. Killing an unborn child. So if killing a kid is ok in ur eyes, there's some serious issues with you.
let's see. lucifer is an angel. God made angels. god is more powerful than angels. God CAN stop his spread of disease, etc. God CHOOSES not to. If you believe that God is omnipotent (I do) and prolife (I don't), he would make it impossible for us to die. He would be prolife, therefore not want us to die. I never said he wants us to die, I said he doesn't not want us to die. There really is a difference. I think he does have a problem with killing kids (as do I), because if he wanted us to die, we wouldn't live as long as we do. If he wanted us to die, he would smite the earth right now! He wants us to live and have experiences with life, but not forever. Don't say I have no problem with killing kids, because that's just wrong.
Because He didn't... God made us perfect, so we could live forever, but because Adam and Eve ate the fruit, we fell into sin. It's because of sin that we die, not because of God.
