Just about two people in America heard about the recession ending. This news should be fucking national, not just a statement on a local radio, amirite?
yet. things ARE changing. It's like vista. It takes about 75 hours (75 days (no basis of information (just guesstimations))) to load the crap you don't want, then you can get what you need. Nothing has changed, except that we are turning around. Recession means going down for at least 6 months. It started going up, so EVENTUALLY we'll feel affects
Just because the economy isn't going down the shitter anymore doesn't mean that people magically have more money that they're willing to spend on stuff. My point is still completely valid.
As is mine. You're point of "nothing has changed besides people saying it's over" is incorrect. No vital changes yet. But in most, if not all, cases rises last longer than falls, so we will have an effect that will make our economy better than it was before the recession started.
My are point isn't that nothing has changed at all, it is that nothing LOCAL is changing. Therefore, in my eyes, the recession isn't over. My family's business is not bringing in more money, my friends and community don't have an abundance to spend, and I'm pretty positive that even if everyone in the US knew that the recession was "over", they wouldn't stop being frugal like they have been for a number of months.
okay in your eyes. But that's not what you said. In my eyes, the recession isn't over, but i do alot of research, because I like america (Born and raised) and I see that pretty soon (maybe a year (which is soon if you consider the nose high shit we've been in)) we will see a positive change
Really? Because I'm pretty sure that my first comment said exactly that. So, you're implying that I don't like America because I feel the recession isn't really over? Fine, in a year from now, I'll YYA your post.
(?): recession HAS to be continuous drop of Real GDP. Real GDP rose and has started to rise, therefore breaking the continuous cycle. Therefore the recession is over. Doesn't mean it won't start again in six months (recession - fall in Real GDP for at LEAST 6 months)
The recession isn't ending, at least I haven't seen any change in the local economy here.
Officially the recession ended, but it takes a while to have a real affect.
Right... So it's basically just words because nothing has changed.

Right, but NOW in this moment, nothing has changed besides the fact that people are saying it's over.
Real GDP rose. Doesn't matter what people say. I checked. The slightest rise breaks the recession. Real GDP rose

but your later post did after i posted that stuff was changing, you said nothing was. stuff is, whether you see it or not
How can the recession "officially" end? Someone can't say "oh the recessions over cause I say so.." and it will end.
(?): My point exactly.
