Oh yeah, also, the button is called a key. Obviously because it is a KEYboard.
Button: any small knob or disk pressed to activate an electric circuit, release a spring, or otherwise operate or open a machine, small door, toy, etc.
Last time I checked a key on a keyboard does in fact operate a machine unless computers are not, in fact, machines, so button is certainly an adequate term for this situation.
