+226 If you make a joke about religion, don't expect people to take it well. "Chill out guys! It was just a joke that insulted your way of life. Geez.", amirite?

Same with feminists. "Chill out! I only made a joke about everything you believe in! Jeez."

That's why it's called a joke. God, people need to learn to loosen up a little.

Yes, but there are certain things you don't joke about. I could see if it was just a joke people should loosen up, but it's different if it was an insulting joke.

Reminds me of this girl that was talking to me a few days ago and she said that the reason she's glad she's not Jewish is because Hanukkah doesn't seems as joyous as Christmas. I was like lolwut Just thought I'd like to share that.

Sharing is caring! Unless you're sharing herpes. You can keep that shit to yourself.

Hannukah isn't. It's not even a big holiday in the Jewish religion.

Well, honestly, religion isn't as important in most religious people's lives to be considered a "way of life".

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You're missing the point. Religion //is// a way of life whether someone views it that way or not. For example, Christianity is meant to be a way of living, if someone doesn't view it that way, it doesn't make Christianity any less of a way of life.

But what matters to them is how they interpret it.

Calm down. Most jokes are insulting. The ones that aren't are puns or knock knock jokes. Those suck. People need to just take these things with a grain of salt. It's called a joke because it isn't serious and they don't believe it.
