Us Boxes have a lot of free time. Okay?

Ok: because nowadays "okay" is too hard and too time consuming to type.

I put "k" if I'm in class or something but I have to let a parent/sibling/someone know that I understand what we're doing whenever.

okay to be honest it does take significantly longer to type "ok" than "k" as k involves 2 fingers (k and enter keys) while ok involves 3 fingers involved or 1 finger that alternates between the "k" and "o", the abbreviation probably saves 2-3secs on a keyboard and far more when texting, that slight time difference can be important if your in a hurry. I have far too much time on my hands.....

Clearly you are retarded. K. Ok. That took maybe half a second, not 2 or 3.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

little bit of an over-exaggeration, but it does take slightly more time especially when texting or trying to type with a sprained wrist like mine. oh and i meant to put "seem important" not "be important"

The funny thing is, you said you have too much time on your hands, and yet you're arguing that using "K" is really time saving...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that is ironic, but I don't use either ok or k (unless i'm texting) I use okay but i also have no problem with those that do use abbreviations (except in formal writing or writing in which time is not an issue)

When dealing with text messaging on a phone with three letters per number on the phone key pad, it takes three pushes of the #6 just to produce the 'k' and an additional two pushes of the #5. So phone-wise, it's two versus five. When your fingers are cold, this could take about 15 seconds.

What's the deal with everyone getting pissed because someone says 'k'? You can say "k" verbally and people know that it means the same thing as "okay", so why is there an issue when someone types it in a text?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I just always spell 'okay' with the correct spelling. You know, I can't believe anyone would be so time poor that it would be a stretch to type an extra 3 characters...

I hate when people just text me back "ok" but "K" is even worse. like, what am i supposed to say back?
