+176 It was funny to find out that when the typewriter was invented by Hungarian immigrant Qwert Yuiop, that he left his "signature"on the keyboard, amirite?

Christopher Latham Sholes invented the typewriter

The most-used letters are on the left hand side to slow (right-handed) typers down, because when typewriters were invented, the keys used to stick.

The keyboard is actually arranged so that the letters that most frequently follow each other or occur in pairs (like TH or QU) were spaced far enough away to avoid the rods in the machine from clashing together when pressed in quick succession.

Both are true.

It was also funny to find out that you are completely wrong… Uneeck42 is correct.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

...But that's wrong... :(

You guys do realize that this is probably a joke right? Because Qwert Yuiop are the top letters on any standard English keyboard >.>

That's the point -_-

It would have made more sense to replace "It was funny" with "It would be funny"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

its sorta funny but would be funnier if it was true and what makes me say it isnt true is a comic strip of pearls before swine. goat is telling the real reason (exactly what lovemusic said) to pig, and pig sarcasticly wonders why he doesn't get more dates :)
