+1,089 Its weird to think that actors in a role actually wanted to be on t.v. Like Red from That 70's show auditioned for his part, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Or a part and they gave him that one.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah thats what I was thinking except then I realized that crucifying mice is a really bad idea

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't understand this post, please explain...haha, sorry. I am usually not this stupid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Me either.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thanks you helped a lot asshole.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No probs :) jeez

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lmaoooooo I love you

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Do you love her or her boobs? @990850 (Japanzi): Kudos on the boobs

by Anonymous 13 years ago

DAMN. I wasn't even gonna pay her any mind and just enjoy the witty retorts. Thanks for pointing that out, now I can enjoy the witty retorts, AND the boobs.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think they mean that the characters seem so fitting, and are so well known as their parts, that it's weird to think that they actually had to work to get it, as opposed to just having the parts.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh! Thanks that makes a lot of sense.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You mad bro?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

As opposed to...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

not "actually wanting to be on t.v" (Your+Name+Optional POTD).

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But that's just what actors do, they audition for parts.. right?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How would you guys like a foot in your ass

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wouldn't it be a horn in your ass with your username?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Dumbass y

by Anonymous 13 years ago

God, Red is a reincarnation of my father. The lack of hair, the tough love, the beer... Oh my God, does that make me Laurie?!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you better hope not.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I hope not. But my brother's a lot like Eric and my mom's like Kitty... Oh wait, I suppose my older sister is like Laurie, just less slutty. But who does that make me?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hyde? idk

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I really hope so...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Col story bro

by Anonymous 13 years ago

what is this I don't even Is it saying that it's weird that people want to be on TV? Is it saying that it's weird to think actors auditioned? Either way, it's not.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

its weird that they auditioned for the part of an asshole

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Its saying that its weird that people would actually audition and want to be on TV playing an actor like Red from thats 70s show. Ive actually never seen the show so I dont know what he's like, but its probably the same idea about why fat actors would want to audition to be on TV and be the butt of fat jokes and be the weirdo, for everyone in America to see. That was probably really confusing... but I hope it helped haha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's not weird. It's money. Good money.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

usually it bothers me when people complain about POTD, but i honestly don't understand why this one is

by Anonymous 13 years ago

the post of the day isn't a joke nor something that can set off debate wars? CALL 911 this isn't a potd, this is patrick! THIS IS SPARTA! THIS IS PATRICK! how DARE anthony.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol no i completely realize it doesn't have to be either, i just found this post to be pretty mediocre. not bad, but not great

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't understand this. Don't actors WANT to be on tv? Sometimes kids have crazy "My-child's-a-star" moms and make them audition for every commercial/tvshow/play there is. And why is it so weird that someone on tv auditioned for their part? You can find tons of people audition tapes on youtube.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

its weird they would try out for the part of an asshole, not tv period

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not really. Someone has to play that part and if you're really dedicated about your craft then you'll do your best in anything that they throw at you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My understanding is that it's weird to think of a character that's so well founded as having auditioned for that part and trying to get it, as it fits them so well it's hard to picture anyone else trying to be that character.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How is it weird at all? Actors audition for their roles, it's not that hard of a concept.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

weird to want to be the asshole

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How am I being an asshole?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*weird to want to play the part of an asshole

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ha okay thanks for clearing that up. Sorry about that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think the OP isn't saying that they think it's weird that actors audition, it's weird that actors audition for certain parts that aren't very appealing. Like Wormtail from Harry Potter, it's a bit weird that someone would audition for the part of the pathetic, laughed at, ratty servant.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

A lot of times (especially for TV shows), so much of the character is left up to the actor and how he portrays it. Since only the first season is written at most, the writers then sculpt the script to how the actor made the character. There is no such thing as a perfect fit for a character because so much is left up to the actor.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You did it again batman

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hugh Jackman/Wolverine is just about as close as you can get

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Just imagine if like Charlie Sheen played "Joey" in Friends... ew.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

wat

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Some people like portraying the bad guys. The assholes. Not everyone wants to be the princess of the show.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I heard somewhere that the part was originally intended for Chuck Norris. =) But I love the show the way it was.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

sorta like this ---> http://www.amirite.net/505082

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not really...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I made a post like this recently, but worded differently. Sorry dude, I didn't know it was a repeat...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Who wouldn't want to be Red? I'm gonna kick your ass!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

RED IS AWESOME

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'd love to be an asshole on a show, get to actually say things I couldn't get away with in real life and have my very own laugh track :D and besides he's a funny asshole. Also, look at Ashton Kutcher, he was the dork of the show and now he's in a gagillion movies and girls want his pen0r, you never know where it could take you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Evil characters are easier to play. Would it be easier to totally bag on someone or pretend to look like you actually care about something.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No shit, Sherlock.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Kurtwood Smith is just so well-known for playing Red on That 70's Show, it's weird to think that he probably doesn't act like Red in real life.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What other charcter would he be on the show; Bob???
