+272 Keeping your email and facebook and passwords to yourself, instead of letting your significant other go through them, does not mean you are hiding something. Its good to remain individuals and still have some things for yourself in a relationship, amirite?

My ex boyfriend told me his myspace password on his own and when I said I wanted to keep mine to myself he freaked out on me. I remembered thinking it was so stupid that I HAD to share my password with him because we were dating. And it's like you said, I wasn't hiding anything, I just didn't want to tell anyone my password.

Of course I'm not saying you have to or even should tell, but I felt the need to share: This girl I know has a saying. "Love is giving your SO access to your phone/computer/whatever. True love is them not using that information." I thought that was pretty cool.

There was a girl in my class who had a boyfriend that went through her phone every day.

If you're dating it seems silly because you could date 10 people in your life and all those people woulbknow your password. But if you're married, everything is shared and there's no reason they shouldn't have it.
