+374 It's not fair that the news focuses on when people do things wrong, just once I'd like to see a news report: "A flight full of passengers managed to get where it was going after all the passengers took their regular luggage on board, so far there have been no confirmed casualties.", amirite?

...But that's expected.

News is typically something a. important, b. out of the ordinary or c. something that will affect something else (while still being important). Like above said it's expected that a plane make it safely.

It's not about right or wrong, it's about what's newsworthy- like, if said plane had been landed safely by a heroic passenger after they saved the life of a pilot having a heart attack or something like that, you'd hear it. There's no purpose in reporting the mundane, and you know damn well if you were watching the news and they were saying shit like that, you'd be like "who gives a fuck? This is boring" and change the channel.

If they amplify everything, nothing would be heard
