i still feel the same way i love the holidays!! ah! i get so happy thinking about it!

That's great! I wish I could say the same. Holidays just don't feel right when your family seems to get smaller every year.

aww im sorry:( i hope you still have fun this year..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thank you, I hope you do too.

I wish I still got super excited about holidays, but I most certainly wouldn't give //anything// to feel that way again.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

It's just an expression. I certainly wouldn't give like, my left foot or anything.

I wouldn't even give $5. I guess it's just not all that important to me

@Wunderscore: Not even $5? I'd give about $10 to feel that way again. Maybe $20, depending on my mood.

Like I said, it's just not something that's super important to me

I'm pretty content with the way I feel about the holidays now.

When I was younger I got ecstatic at the thoughts of a bunch of presents. Now I get the same feeling, just at the thought of being with my family and the feeling of joy in the air :>

I feel super giddy about the holidays like righ now, in August, but when that time comes and I'm scrambling to buy presents and bake cookies AND study for finals all at the same time, I'm too stressed to really be like YAY!

The only holiday I love just as much as I did when I was little is Halloween.

Thanks giving I was never really all that excited about that. I'm actually more excited about it now than I was before cuz I get to eat yummy food my Nana made and I love food soo much now, most people don't understand. Easter I didn't care about as a kid, now I think it's just stupid. Christmas is just eh. Birthdays (not an international holiday but still an important event) are just ehh. New years used to be exciting and now I'm like "big whoop, the earth made a full rotation around the sun". Valentines day used to mean getting to give everyone in my class cards, now it's single's awareness day. Saint Patty's day used to mean you wore green or else you got pinched, now it's just about getting drunk. My city even dyes The River green. Mother's and Father's day were never really important in my family. Forth of July is just retarded imo I don't wanna walk forever just to see some stupid fireworks.

I just love the merry, family-friendly, unconditionally-happy air that is the holidays. :)
