+338 The reason people think Germans are always angry is because the only Germans they know of are Nazis. amirite?

Does being a Nazi mean you're angry? Just wondering.

BDvDClAL-2s Well, you sound angry and kill people, so, yeah.

German.. the language of romance. :P

I think it's because the language sounds particularly threatening when someone is yelling in it, but I do have to agree because most of the time when people hear someone yelling in German it's a Nazi.

Ich liebe dich -sounds angry right? What do you think that means? "I love you"

Which is why I find you get hilariously wonderful reactions if you start rambling at someone in German. XD

Also in my math book there was a chart of 3000 people who used an atm in America, Germany, and the UK and different percentages of people who either thanked the atm, cursed the atm, or told the atm to hurry up. For Germany the highest percentage was 53% cursed at it which was about more 20% more than America and the UK.

I like your math book.

It has a bunch of interesting examples like that, how to do your bmi, and the increasing percentage of multiple births.

I know plenty of Germans that are really nice, I don't stereotype Germans by thinking they're all Nazi's.I hate it when people do that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, the comparatively high consonant to vowel ratio does make Germans sound angry, even if they are not. Fuck all to do with the Nazis.

It's because they've only heard German from Hitler's speech or from the movie "Hitler's Downfall".
