+1,242 If somebody has not read the Harry Potter books, but claims to be a die hard fan, it is perfectly acceptable to shout random spoilers at them at every opportunity, amirite?

I'm sorry, but someone can't call his or herself a "die hard fan" if they haven't even read the books! What is this world coming to?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly my point, they wouldn't be spoilers if they had read the books ;)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm trying to :( My dumbass english teacher keeps assigning the worst books ever. My plan is to wait for winter or summer break and then not come out of my room until I've read the entire series.

If someone hasn't read the books but claims to be a diehard fan it is perfectly acceptable to hit them repeatedly!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Especially with the books themselves.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

this is true about any book.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly! The movies are good, but you HAVE to read the books to get the full effects. I can understand if you like the movies, but when you talk about how in love you are and how big a fan you are, it's just ANNOYING!. p.s. to everyone.. DEATHLY HALLOWS!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yesyesyesyesyes! I hate when you overhear people talking and they say something along the lines of "I love harry potter! I'm just too lazy to read the books." .... I'm sorry but in my opinion you can't be a fan or say you love harry potter if you haven't read the books, you just cant .

I agree that you can't be a die hard fan unless you've read the books but I still don't approve of spoilers. There are people like me who like to almost forget the book before watching the movie so that its like reliving that moment all over again and I hate spoilers.

XD I remember at camp me and my friend were talking about Snape's death in the musical(A Very potter Musical, in case you don't know), and which death we liked better(musical or book). This girl goes, "Snape dies?!" and I felt bad until she said something like, 'I'm a huge fan, but I haven't read the books.'. Guilt gone.

Fortunately, I've never met any of these people. However, I imagine it's just as annoying as meeting one of those people that say they are die hard fans of a band whilst knowing only one song from them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I mean of course! And sometim- SNAPE KILLED DUMBLEDORE

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i don't get it..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

God, the idiots on here...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

explain? or do you not know?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What do I have to explain? That's like asking me to explain what I mean when I say my name. The post is trying to say that if a person says that they are a huge fan of Harry Potter, but haven't read the books, then they are not really a huge fan and deserve to be annoyed.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well why does it say die hard?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Die hard basically means an extreme fan. Like a massive fan.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's stupid. The movies (after the second) aren't even a fraction as good as the books. Anyone claiming to be a die-hard fan because of the movies is an idiot.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I make sure to do that to people that refuse to read the books.
