+557 Adults should be allowed to order off the children's menu at restaurants. The price of food is based on the portion served; my age doesn't effect the serving size of the meal, nor how much it cost the restaurant to make it. Amirite?

I think they try to minimize the amount of people ordering the dish. If you're going to a seafood place, they're only going to have so much macaroni and cheese and pizza slices to go around, and it gives the restaurant better business. If the kids like it, the family will come back, even if the parents aren't the biggest fans.

But you want to sell bigger servings as a restaurant. If you could sell one car as a car dealer, or twenty cars, which one would it be?

True, but I mostly go to restaurants with a group, usually one from my Youth Centre, and I often either can't eat a large adult portion, or am unwilling to pay over 20 bucks just for one meal, so if I don't order off the kids menu, I usually only order a salad, entree or dessert.

Why don't you just order a half-size portion, or the lunch portion?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Believe it or not, some restaurants only serve things in one size.

Oh my goodness I didn't know that! d If they don't serve half portions just suck it up and get the full one. It's called leftovers.

One time I was at culvers with my friends and this one girl got a kids meal so she could get free ice cream and everybody was making fun of her.
