Best stuff on earth

I remember reading it when I was little and I didn't even know what Turkish Delight was, but I craved it desperately because of that book.

I made up my own version of it in my head. Then I ate it in a dream. It was good.

In my head, it was kind of like Yorkshire Pudding..? Don't know why. But it was.

I think mine was turkey wrapped in bacon. Turkish made me think of turkey, and Delight made me think of bacon. XD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

God, I love bacon

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This goes without saying, but me too.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Its so yummy i eat it all the time :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My neighbor gave everyone Turkish Delight for Christmas once. It was fucking delicious.

When you're a little kid and your parents are reading the books to you, it sounds like some magical candy thing haha. But I've had it several times in real life, and I can honestly say that it was disgusting =P Maybe I just had high expectations though hahaha.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I had it once. I thought it was delicious, but my mom thought it tasted like soap.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What does it taste like??? I must know...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They're cubes of pure happiness. Or if you want to be technical about it, jelly-like cubes with either pistachios or hazelnuts trapped inside, topped off with white powder. It's either delicious or disgusting, depending on what you prefer. There's no middle ground.

I really want to try one... Haha that sounds really good to me.

Or sometimes covered in chocolate.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

For some reason I imagined it was something like Baklava. I love that stuff~ Edit: I just googled it. Lmao, I was way off.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Before I googled it, I thought it was like a tootsie roll covered in powdered sugar.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I always thought of it as a taffy-like peanut brittle covered in chocolate and powdered sugar. I kind of like my version of it better than what the real thing looks like.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I imagined it as a pie. It had chicken in a creamy gravy sauce. I guess I was wrong.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ha, I always thought it was some type of meat, my bad..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I always pictured thanksgiving dinner pretty much... Way off.
