+334 In Tangled, when the evil mother is saying how Flynn Rider is only using Rapunzel to get the crown, it's a metaphor for virginity, amirite?

... Rider ... heheheh ...

hehe, teehehehehahahBAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! That's exactly what I sounded like after I read that :)

A little bit, yeah.

That's the vibe I got, definitely. Seems intentional. Beneath the fairy tale there's a lot of symbolism on growing up and all. The scene on the lake where she was "terrified" about the experience of seeing the lights that she's dreamt of all her life and their little duet also seemed a little symbolic of first-time sex, too. Oh, disney.

I love that song :) I didn't really see that part being dirty more so them just realizing they liked each other but I'm sure it could be taken that way and btw the song is "I see the light"

Oh definitely. I don't mean to say the scene was dirty, but it felt symbolic still. Especially with the crown seemingly representing her virginity, this is the scene when she gives it to him, in the middle of this euphoria and discovery. I don't know how many people remember their first time but a lot of what they were feeling and saying (especially on her part), like how things are never the same and the world seems different are not uncommon to feel. It's not like that for everybody but I imagine for a lot of young girls it is a very intense experience and hopefully that good. For him, too, I think him realizing he really was missing out on truly loving someone as opposed to just being easy-breezy was also a big moment. It's actually very sweet.

" and We partied for days and nights, but I don't remember most of it."

Now I'm tempted to see the movie again and make a sexual innuendo out of everything.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I love that movie, it's so cute XD. The witch is a bitch though. HAYYY I RHYMED!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, the song " A Whole New World " is also a metaphor for first time sex, too. Listen to it and you'll realize

by Anonymous 13 years ago

OMG I just remembered the song and it makes sense!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"no one to tell us no, or WHERE TO GO" ....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

^ Don't forget "Dont you dare close your eyes" lol

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"Over, Sideways, and Under on a magic carpet ride." .... ohjeez.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I loved that movie! But i see how its sexual. Now i got to watch it again to see if there is anymore sexual innuendos.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My barely-there innocence!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha. Disney is notorious for sexual innuendo but I have to say, at least in here it's done tactfully. It doesn't feel like they were trying to be pervs, just trying to re-create the emotions of teenagers in love and having the experience. I think on something-awful, though, some guy went a little crazy with the symbolism and went on to talk about her mother's hair and how it represented the trauma of seeing your mother's pubes. That was a little much.

What makes this creepy is that allegedly Flynn is 26 years old, running around with a 17 year old girl (although she was legal by the time he made any moves) http://hellyeahtangled.tumblr.com/post/2099951090 ^Source

Wait, wut? Is that for reals? He is almost 10 years older than her...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, the feature song "I See The Light" has a hidden word. The second time she sings "And at last I see the light, and it's like the sky is new", she actually holds the word "new", and adds a d, making it "and it's like the sky is nude".

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"And it's like this guy is nude"

by Anonymous 11 years ago

wow, you guys. you're just being dirty and pointing out EVERY LITTLE THING that seems SLIGHTLY innappropriate. and you're just jealous that you're not Rapunzel from the best movie in the world :)
