One of the worst feelings in the world is arriving at school, wondering why everyone is sad, and finding out one of your friends has died, amirite?

this happened to me, except my friend had a brain tumor and from the time i last saw her, they found it and she drove to another state for surgery. somehow i missed that memo....

It was announced over the loud-speaker when one of my classmates died from a heart conditon. Pretty much half the school burst out crying at the same time.

I once arrived at school and found out that the bully who always teased me had died in a plane crash. I didn't know whether to be sad or not.

Or getting a message saying that a boy committed suicide, and then going to school where everyone is in tears and wearing black. Never a fun experience.

I wasnt at school the day my best friend killed himself, or the day he actually died... He shot himself, then was kept alive until the next day.

There was a boy I remember teasing in elementary school, although it was lighthearted not bullying-type teasing. He was homeschooled before middle school, and he hung himself in 7th grade. What was really depressing about it, was how few people knew about it and had known him. (small elementary) When I was in 3rd grade, my friend's brother died of cancer, but I barely knew him. The school made a huge deal about it, and even brought in counselors, which actually seemed pretty extreme, considering he was already past elementary school. Oh well. Life goes on. I didnt know either one that well, but regardless, those were bad experiences.

At my school, someone has died 3 years in a row. The 1st and 3rd year, teachers announced it in 1st hour. When everyone went in the hall it was dead silent. It's crazy. The second year someone died the first week of summer. It's horrible how these things happen. ):

It was the two year anniversary of the kid who commited suicide in my year. Everyone wore tye dye, jandals and held a concert for him. It's pretty sweet people still care about him

In primary school, when I was in grade 2 or 3, a grade 7 girl died in a fire at her house. Apparently her parents got out but her door was blocked by the fire and she couldn't break the window, so she sat with her dog in her arms and they both died.

Last year I woke up and watched the news, and found out that a girl in my photo class (though I'd never talked to her and we'd only been in that class for a month or so) had been stabbed to death by her aunt. And the year before that, a kid who'd been in orchestra with me two years ago committed suicide on school grounds.
