THAT IS DEFINITELY MY TOWN. i'll be sitting and watching the news, leaning in when my town is coming up, and then.. nothing. it's the worst feeling ever.

I KNOW! I'm always like "Mom, why is my school still open? It's snowing." And she's like "We live in South Florida..." *Sigh* Parents just don't understand...

On one of the worst snow days we've had only the schools in our district that are "connected" in a way just had a two hour delay. It is crazy and they don't realize that a two hour delay doesn't do much except let us sleep in a bit and make our parents late for work if they drive you to school.

Uhm...does your school have buses/an option for transportation? Most, if not all, schools have some form of transportation so your parents don't HAVE to drive you...

Every school but mine DOES get cancelled. I live in the biggest of a cluster of small towns, and mine just happens to be the state capitol. Since all our parents have government jobs we simply don't have snow days because the state can't afford for our parents to stay home from work and watch us, but all the towns around us get out of school whenever there's more than two feet of snow.

I know, I swear, it's like: "And all schools have been declared closed due to the snow today, except one school, which just last night has received a donation, from an eccentric billionaire, of school buses fitted with flamethrowers in order to make certain all the usual routes and sidewalks to the school are clear."
