Fountain soft drinks usually come out too watery, and taste horrible.

for some reason i prefer just plain water.

canned soft drinks>fountain (in paper cup)>plastic bottles in terms of the environment though. But I agree fountain drinks usually taste the best.

thats fairly debatable, plastic if i'm not mistaken releases less toxins and emissions when recycled but can only be recycled so many times before losing value, whereas metal cans can release a ton of emissions. Also plastic bottles generally hold more so less material is needed. As for fountain drinks they are probably the worst, they have to be kept running 24/7 wasting huge amounts of energy. In reality these are all fairly minor when compared to the huge amount of car smog, chemical plants and other environmental issues.

I just meant in terms of the containers. In America we actually sell moat of our recycleable plastic to China where they burn it, and they can't be bottles again, plastic is "downcycled" but cans and glass can become cans and glass bottles again and again

I think the opposite because canned are usually the most carbinated then bottle then fountain drinks are barely carbinated and as someone else said all watered down so:
canned>bottled>fountain

Water > fountain drink

glass bottles are the best, then fountain, then cans.

i forgot about glass bottles! Your right!

(Igpay_Atinlay):Glass bottles are fancy, but sometimes they get annoying because you have to keep letting air in...unless you use a straw..

bottle > all
fountain soda ends up being poorly mixed.
