-337 If you won a million dollars, you wouldn't give any of it to a charity, amirite?

When I was done buying all the shit I wanted and if I had any left over, sure, why not?

Liars. Sure you'd think about it, but then youd realize how liTtle you have left when you're done spending, and just want to save it.

Just because you're selfish, doesn't mean we all are. I already regularly donate to charity, so I would definitely give extra if I won a million dollars.

Just because you think I'm selfish, doesn't mean I am you twat. So you donate to charity... Well that's just fucking dandy, isn't it? You want a cookie? A medal? I simply don't give a fuck. I believe in Darwinism--survival of the fittest. Sure, it's not your fault you were born with leprosy, but it's not MY fault either, and I don't see it as MY obligation to give my money to you. We're all suffering, whether we're diseased or not. (Well, us lower/average-class citizens are). A million dollars, unfortunately, isn't that much money anymore. I could buy a nice house, a car, and the rest I would have to keep for groceries, utilities, clothing, and whatever else I want. It would go faster than you'd think. If I were to give money to anybody, it would be to my poor family members and friends. People I know, and people who matter to me.

I'd spend half of it and invest the other half

How could you be so heartless? (Whoa, how could you be so heartless?) I had to.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm not selfish at all, actually, I'm just realistic. $1 million dollars translates into an above average house in a good area, a pretty nice car, and then some extra money for gas, groceries, and anything else. You're forgetting that we need to pay taxes on just about everything, too. So really, while a million dollars is a nice chunk of money, it's not as much as people make it out to be.

That is true. I would put all of it in the bank, so I don't go crazy spending money, only taking a few bucks out every now and then, and I would use it for emergency money. (a house payment I couldn't make, braces for my kid, etc.)

You should pay off the house with the million so you don't have anymore house payments, saving money.
