+228 People say celebrities are just paid for acting and/or singing a song. That's not true. They're basically getting paid for selling themselves. They trade their privacy for fame and money, amirite?

While that's true in some cases, I believe you *can* have at least a bit of privacy if you actually put in some effort. Take Jack Johnson, for example. I don't know anyone who hasn't heard at least one of his songs (therefore, I'd consider him famous), but you never hear about him on talk shows or in celebrity gossip magazines because he wanted to keep his kids safe, so he found a way to keep his personal life private.
