+143 With the way internet speech is being ingrained into everyday conversations (ex: lol, 'pics or it didn't happen', etc), I wouldn't be surprised in the future to see medical reports use it. "Patient suffering from abdominal pain flaring along the sternum while in movement. Precautions have been taken and sufficient therapy and MRIs are now recommended. TL;DR: Patient needs a chest x-ray." amirite?

You do know that an MRI is very different from an x-ray right?

I think the point is that they didn't read the entire report and were just like "oh, whatever, they need an X-ray". Even though X-rays use radiation and an MRI is based on magnetic fields.
