+276 If you think about it, it wouldn't be that fun to be part of a band or a singer in the internet age. Everyone can get your music for free anyway, so you'd have do more and more tours just to make money. Also, make one mistake or say one awkward thing and you'll never hear the end of it, amirite?

there still make tons of money, even without major touring and we don't actually rip off that much money off musicians when we pirate music most of it goes to the record label

yeah, but I'm not talking about the money. I'm talking about how much we glamourize being famous. Especially now, to make that, you have to do more than just show up.

yeah but that been true for the last century or so, take the Beatles and the whole "bigger than Jesus" thing

Point taken, but let's say, a celebrity does something embarassing that's caught on video. They'll never hear the end of it, because it'll find it's way on the internet. If, let's say, Radiohead was videotaped drunk and singing, they'd always be known for that by a lot of people. But if this was about 10 years ago, that video might never reach the public in the first place. (And BTW, I'm not bagging on Radiohead :P)

I see your point, nice persuasive skills.
