Why?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think it's because a lot of stores, supermarkets, restaurants, and entertainment places are closed for the Christmas, so those people who do not celebrate Christmas each Chinese because Chinese foods restaurants never seem to close. The movies are to kill time maybe?

hmm Why not just do anything you would do any other weekend? It's not like you're locked in a room with nothing to do and only a TV and the only open restaurant on Christmas.

Yeah, I don't know. I was hypothesizing. Or why don't they prepare before hand? Do your grocery shopping early, or hang out with Jewish family or friends.

I'm not Jewish, but I'm not Christian either so I don't celebrate Christmas. But we don't make a whole holiday of eating a certain food and wasting time and we treat it as any other Saturday.

Oh, by "you," I didn't actually mean you. I tend to do that sometimes. Sorry. If no restaurants are opened, why can't they just eat at home which is what you do, right?

Haha I know, it's an American thing, I understood what you meant. I'm just explaining that I don't celebrate Christmas but that's no reason to make some weird tradition/stereotype such as this.
