+36 It's good for teenagers to watch porn. If they're not sure of their orientation, they can masturbate to porn to find whether they're gay, lesbian, bisexual, or straight. They can also find out what types of fetishes they have. amirite?

Ha, I actually read somewhere (probably an article in Cosmo, so feel free to disregard) that watching porn while in a relationship is healthy - because when you're wanking, that's kinda your selfish time, where you can just concentrate on your own orgasm, as opposed to when you're having sex with your partner, where you can concentrate on theirs.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

A lot of men just focus on theirs anyway...

Yes, let's make generalizations off of your own personal experiences. That's fair.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

True, it's not!

Just because you watch a certain type of porn doesn't mean that's your orientation. I know plenty of guys that watch lesbian porn and girls that watch gay porn, but that doesn't say anything about them. Also, I personally hate watching porn, but that doesn't mean I'm asexual or anything.

Also, many straight girls get off on watching lesbian porn, because you can better connect with the feeling.

Ah yes, it certainly is wonderful to form the habit of senselessly objectifying other people at a young age for one's own self satisfaction. Definitely.

I agree. No one should ever masturbate or explore their sexuality. Please inform me if you do not know the meaning of sarcasm.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Masturbation is different from porn, and one can explore their sexuality without porn.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

But porn can assist in both of those.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

But it's better if it doesn't because it has many negative effects.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

If one can see the difference between reality and porn, then I don't see how porn can have any negative side effects.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I agree, porn is definitely not a harmful thing for everyone and can be controlled, just like alcohol and other things. However, it is a slippery slope and people need to be more careful because porn addiction is a real thing.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I never said that it couldn't be harmful. I think it's safer than alcohol and other things, but I agree that one can become addicted to porn. Just like alcohol, I don't see a problem with it in moderation and as long as you don't let it get in the way of your everyday life. In the same way that there's a difference between drinking a little socially and getting drunk on a daily basis, there's a difference between using porn as a supplement to masturbation (or with a partner) and another to need it. tl;dr: Porn is ok. Just know fantasy from reality, and don't overdue it.

http://yourbrainonporn.com I agree, porn has been proven to cause all sorts of issues like stress and ED and it releases an abnormally large amount of dopamine, making it extremely addicting.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Hmm...I don't know about this argument. I think that part of the point of porn (at least for me) is that it's NOT realistic. I don't see it as something that represents how sex is or even how it should be. All it is is something that feels good.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Actually, a good amount of straight girls like lesbian porn but that's just because in that situation the focus is on pleasing the girl instead of the guy which is why they can often like it. But being turned on by it can cause confusion over their sexuality while they very well might still be straight.

Apparently you do because you obviously aren’t getting any.
