+229 It's weird to think that in whatever accent you talk to your baby in, that's the one they'll have. You could make up a whole new accent and they'll always talk like that, amirite?

I'm not completely sure, but I heard kids talk like their peers. So what ever accent their preschool classmates have, they'll have.

Probably not forever. But they'll probably be extremely confused when you send them to school.

That's why when I have a kid, I'm only talking in a British accent. So they'll probably hate me for a while, but they'll thank me in the future. Just kidding.

I'm pretty sure it is classmates because my friend moved to my school a couple years ago with an american accent and it's gone now but her mum's isn't. It would be really hard but fun to make up a whole new accent!
