It's never best to leave it alone and "get over it." There is going to come a time when one party will harbour resentment because they simply WEREN'T able to get over it. Communication is key. Always, no exceptions.

Thank you! I'm a guy, but I'm kind of an emotional person. I live in a house where literally everyone else would much rather pretend what happened didn't happen and move on, when I want to talk about it solve it. They're always telling me I'm being too sensitive. They'll even sometimes get angry if you try and push the matter. It bothers me so much.
