There are two forms of the Ad Hominem fallacy. First there's Ad Hominem Abusive which is when someone insults the person they're arguing with to avoid the issue (I.E: Who cares what you think about movies? You're just an ignorant American who doesn't know anything about real culture.) Then there's the Ad Hominem Circumstantial which is when someone says the other person's point is invalid because of the other person's background (I.E: A man cannot have a valid opinion on abortion because he would never be in that situation.) Both of these basically distract from the real issue and criticize the speaker.

Actually the only thing I copied and pasted was "Who cares what you think about movies? You're just an ignorant American who doesn't know anything about real culture." I spelled Fallacy wrong at first because I couldn't remember how to spell it but saw the right spelling when I looked up the example.
