there is actually a psychological term for this, it's actually where the person who is greatly impacted by the death of a loved one they subconsciously refuse to accept their death and believe when they are walking down the street they will see them, but really its just someone that may share a similar trait as the person who had passed. sometimes it gets so bad that the person will stalk someone just because they believe its their late child or husband. It's actually quite interesting to learn about. generally it happens when you do not see the body laying in the casket because that really visually shows you that they are gone.
