+68 It took just over 60 years for the first plane flight to become the first man on the moon. You'd think, after almost another 60 years of technological advencement, that we should have people living there by now, amirite?

I think we better sort out all the problems on Earth before we start sending people to the moon, where no doubt they'll have to have some sort of government institution put in place.

If Newt Gingrich loses this election then he's gonna start a colony on the moon.

If?

I know he's been doing bad but I haven't been paying attention to the polls. Is Romney set to win?

Looks like it. If you want the best polls, check out Real Clear Politics. It's an unbiased source that has articles from other sources and finds averages of all national polls. I'm pretty sure Gingrich is in the lead of Mississippi but is at the bottom everywhere else.

I agree, but it's surprising that the rate of our advancement seems to have slowed down a bit... That's all I'm saying.

Maybe. I think because previously there have been times when new scientific things were discovered, new physics laws, etc., and they're still happening today, but because we know more, not in such a large scale. And most of what's being invented today comes from the physics we discovered in the past.

The vast majority seems to lack support or doesn't care much about the space program so it's kind of come to a crawl as far as progress. I find it unfortunate, but I still have confidence our bright minds are still progressing towards new discoveries.

All the smart people have been too busy making fancy phones.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No. Havent you ever seen the 3rd Zenon movie!?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The problem is that simple unavoidable physic laws get in the way. How could you possibly transport enough breathable oxygen to the moon for one?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, except they canceled the moon missions
