+244 A prerequisite to acting like a pretentious fuck should be actually being right, amirite?

*cough* evolutionists *cough*

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Do explain how we're not only wrong, but pretentious fucks.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lol okay what do you wanna know that you're wrong about. As for the latter "I'm an evolutionist. I only believe in cold, hard facts of science, so I don't believe in that religious mumbo-jumbo."

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Please tell me ev er rything I'm wrong about.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Evolution doesn't exist.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

We have seen humans evolve. We are much taller than we were 1000 years ago.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wait wait. Are we still humans?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, we're now homo sapius, an evolved version of homo sapiens, which are much taller, and smarter than our earlier prototypes. Which therefore means that Jesus was not of our species, which can only mean he was a dinosaur. I can't believe no one taught you this.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wait wait. Are we humans? That is, would we still be able to procreate with the humans of old?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, for the last time, you can't have sex with Jesus

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, just taller humans, just like humans are just less-hairy primordial homos. The only reason why we give names to different animals is because we notice differences between animals.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So we're still humans, right?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

By classification done by humans, yes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

COULD WE PROCREATE WITH THE HUMANS YOU'RE DESCRIBING?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, because we haven't diverged enough from them yet. The reason why we can't mate with, say, a cat is because our reproductive systems have diverged so much that they are no longer compatible.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ah, okay, so we're essentially the same species. Also, I'd like some evidence to back that up.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Humans and cats have very similar organ systems. They both have kidneys, livers, stomachs, and brains in approximately the same location. Both mate in similar manners (although the parts are incompatible.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Right. Look, take paintings. How are they made?(Normally) The artist dips his brush in paint, and makes strokes on the parchment. Does that mean every painting influences the other? Not really, it just means the best way to paint is said method. Obviously the same analogy applies here. Why does every living being have the same necessary components for life? Did they all separately evolve? That's a low probability. But, if someone were to have MADE everything...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

... Then that would disprove everything most people except. But of course, If someone had made everything, why don't we look the same?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Does every painting look the same?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

1. Paintings are NOT organisms. 2. They can have a completely different chemical makeup. Instead of iron carrying oxygen in the blood, why not silicon or carbon or another chemical in that group? At least those would be able to carry two oxygens.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

First off, it was an analogy. Secondly, are you bringing up imperfect creations? Lolno. Do you know what kind of physical difference that would make? I'm pretty sure that would make us completely different. Wait for it, and we work NOW!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It was an invalid analogy. Why yes, it is imperfect, but its imperfections don't matter because its environment don't require them to matter, which is exactly how evolution works. We have a group of imperfect organisms and place them in an environment that kills off those of a certain characteristic. Some of those with that certain characteristic may be smart enough to know how to avoid letting said characteristic be obstructive.

Name one thing that could be improved in humans without causing a side-effect.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Intelligence.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hmm, you think human intelligence can be improved? Maybe today, yes, due to the toxins we ingest and inhale 24/7. But most historians believe the ancient civilizations were far more intelligent than we.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You forgot to mention how improving intelligence would cause a negative side effect.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't think it can be improved, honestly. I think we all choose to reject the natural ability we have. That being said, it has declined. It WAS the best. Now, however, due to the poisons mentioned, it isn't. It simply cannot be improved, for we caused it to be bad.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, you don't think that any part of humanity can be improved.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not really. Name one.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh, whew, I first read that as 'prostitutes' and I was like "wait, what?"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

By voting YYA, I guess I'm facilitating your ability to be a pretentious fuck.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, you are.
