In my elementary school, you weren't allowed to have any toys outside. Unless they were playground. Tamagotchis, Bratz dolls, Barbies weren't allowed on the playground. You had to sit at a picnic bench and play with them. >.<
Well no, not really. Just because you disagree with an opinion doesn't make it stupid, it makes it different. Sure, there's an argument that giving kids phones at that age is bad, but at the same time, that argument applied to 14 year olds not long ago and now you'll find it hard to find one without a phone.
who the hell would you text? the other kids at recess? no one needs a phone at that age.

I did (long story) but I never sent text and if you did you'd get it taken away and detention.
