+557 Even though it doesn't seems like very much because of facebook, when you really think about it, 150 "friends" is quite a lot, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's actually a ridiculous number of "friends"; no one can actually be a good friend to that many people.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's about the number of people you can truly "know" before your brain starts dumping information about others.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

sociologists say that your can't have close relationships with more than 150 people

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't think I could be a really good friend to even a third of that many.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

thats not how many really close friends you can have, thats how many people you can now above the level of an acquaintance, i'm sure if you go through you Facebook friends and real friends there will be about 150 people that you communicate regularly (both in real life and online). Edit: this was worded badly but i can't think how to say it any better

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I understand you; that makes sense. I actually only have about 80 Fb "friends", because I only add or accept adds from people I actually talk to on a regular basis. Facebook is too personal for me to want to have every person I've ever known reading my business.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I only have about 15 friends that I actually hang out with

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I feel like facebook is simpy a catalogue of people I've met. I'm really only friends with like 10-15 of them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I have a lot of friends but I know about 100 very well...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's why I find it ridiculous when someone has 500+. Now it's just becoming a popularity contest.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, that's why it's extremely annoying when you see those people that have 1000+ "friends" because they add every single person they meet.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

plus every single person their friends have ever met
