Yes, I know that's true. But I'm just using the Harry Potter books. I could've said any book like a Jodi Picoult book, Neil Gaiman book, or a Stephen King book. I'm just using Harry Potter because it saved my life.

Well, my parents got divorced when I was eight, started cutting at ten and just wanted to die. I was never a big fan of reading books, but I started reading it cause my friends said that it was really good. So I started reading it and realized that I could escape the reality I was living in and just imagine myself in there. I knew that there was a deeper meaning to the books than just magic, but I couldn't figure it out cause I was only eleven. But as I got older, I realized the true meaning behind the book, it being that the love of friendship is the strongest form of love you can get. But ultimately, it wad the magical world that J.K. Rowling gave to us that saved my life.

You have got to be kidding me, 99/100 times, reading Harry Potter will not significantly change your life. (Great that it had a good change in your life though).

While I'm a huge fan of the Harry Potter series, I don't think someone is lying if they say that Harry Potter didn't change their life. Some people read it and it's just like any other book series they've ever read.

I can see the people who read it when they were like seven saying that it did not change their life, but it had to have changed the life of anyone who read it and really understood it. I cannot imagine my life without Harry Potter.
