A good friend would tell their friend the truth about how they feel, then just deal with their friend being pissed for a while, because chances are they'll realize that you're right, and leave the crap guy. Otherwise, they might just stay with that person in a shit relationship because they don't have anyone other than themselves telling them not to. A good friend wants what's best for their friend, even if it pisses their friend off.
