+200 You don't understand people who say 'be right back' and then are back literally three seconds later. It's like, "yeah, thank God I was getting worried when you didn't reply for half a minute," amirite?

Half a minute is 30 seconds :p

Alright dear.

but they aren't even the same amounts of time..

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Sometimes I accidentally do that, but it's because I didn't know how long I'd be gone for. I'd rather be polite and say brb and be back quickly than to possibly disappear for 10 minutes.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I was coming on here to say this, but thank you for doing it so I don't have to because I would've been much, much ruder about it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Instead of "half a minute" it should've been "half a second."

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, it should've said "5% a minute".

Well if you tell someone something awkward and they don't reply you have a mini panic attack. Them saying brb simply let's you know they didn't reply to your awkward message because they were away not because they think you're creepy.

Half a minute.. now 3 seconds

You know what they say: "Time flies by when you were never properly educated."

by Anonymous 12 years ago

... Really? It's called a goddamn hyperbole, people! -.-

It is possible for 30 seconds, when viewed from a reference frame that has been accelerated to relativistic speeds, to appear as 3 seconds. Problem solved.
