by Anonymous 14 years ago

All the people with money went to the shops and the people without them stayed home? =(

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Oh we're over that now. Didn't you hear?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Oh actually we're still way in it. Didn't YOU hear?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no, according to the government our economy is now longer in the recession. that doesn't mean we're in good shape, and its still terrible, but technically we are out of it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Don't believe everything the government tells you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually It did end...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The economy is still very bad, it's just going up ("recovery") rather than down ("recession").

When Does The Post Of The Day Change? Amirite works on UK time, so the post of the day changes at these times: CET 01:00 / 1am GMT 00:00 / Midnight EST 19:00 / 7pm PST 16:00 / 4pm It changed 15 minutes ago. Chill.

I think he's referring to the fact that the POTD usually has a pretty high score even before being POTD. But still, it doesn't really matter.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Was this on the homepage before being POTD?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yep.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's just really old from when amirite had few users.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah I was gonna say...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They are crowded before because people are shopping for presents. They are crowded after because people are exchanging/returning their presents, and because people are spending their gift cards and money.

I meant to be boring; I was emphasizing the boredom of the whole thing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lots and lots of sales. Getting rid of Christmas supplies and saving for next year.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

All the REAL sales are right after Christmas.

A lot of people don't have Christmas until after Christmas because of all the sales. Also, people like to spend the money they don't have.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

A lot of people? Really? I've never heard of that...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, I guess a lot wouldn't be the right words to use. :/ But, some people do do that, because they can't afford things, and want to wait to see when they can. Because stores mark down the prices and shit.

Boxing Day is where it's at.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lol y

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I bet Christmas day is like the Holocaust for you boxes. You get forcibly shipped off around the world and massacred by whoever receives you, often with scissors.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Or... KNIVES!!!

The federal government may be out of a recession, but get ready for horrendous state government recessions on a national scale in the next few years.

I put you over the top for your achievement. +1000
