Atticus Finch is a legend
The Art of Manliness agrees.
(I agree too. Favorite character.)
I hate historical novels, but that book is pure awesomeness.
When my teacher reads it to us in class, he reads with a girly southern accent for Scout and does different voices for the characters..
I had to do a mural with a group of classmates about it. Pure agony - honestly I didn't really like the book.
one of the few books I've enjoyed reading in English class.
I love that book! The ending confused me, though.
what did you not get maybe i could help?
Just the way it was all written was weird, but then I reread the confusing bit and it made sense.
Is that supposed to be bad?
nope completely good
...Because it's a good book, yes. I do 'actually' like it. I'm not a big fan of the classics, either. I hated Lord of the Flies, and Huckleberry Finn; the former because there were way too many metaphors to interpret, and they got in the way of the actual story, and the latter because the goddamn characters were so hard to understand. I kind of understand your point, if you're trying to make one though. Just because something was written a long time ago, doesn't mean everyone has to like it.
exactly too many kidds these days just write off books from the past century just cause they think they are irrelevent cause they are written about a different time.
