+229 It's stupid that people rely on technology, like the iPad or a laptop. What if you go camping? "Let's make some virtual fire to roast our marshmallows on! It's a good thing I came prepared!" Amirite?

There's an app for that.

Am I the only one that thought of that one episode of "Fairly Odd Parents"?

So we shouldn't rely on technology because it won't always be there? My hand might not always be there. What if it gets chopped off? Better not rely on my hand either. What about our skin? It's gonna decompose when we die. All of you are dumbasses for using your skin.

But the point is that as society is relying more on technology, the less skill people use. Singing? Autotune. Bored? Don't play outside, play soccer on your iPad! It's sort of like Wall-E. When everyone is completely relying on tech and stuff. We're not at THAT level yet, but we could be in a few decades.

Except that both of those things you mentioned are frowned upon. Most people hate singers who use auto tune, and people always tell kids to go outside instead of playing too many video games. Now say you have your hands chopped off. How easily are you going to manage without them? Not very easily. You are used to using your hands for everything and so not using hands is going to be extremely difficult. But does that necessarily mean using hands is worse for us? No. Hands make us more efficient. A lot of the things about technology that aren't discouraged can actually help us a lot more. Computers, for example, help get rid of human error.

BUT there are some people who use autotune to fix the imperfections in their voices to make it sound more natural, so you wouldn't even notice. And there IS going to be an EXTREME to technology at some point. Whether it is 20 years from now,or 100,000,000,000 years from now. That's my point. I mean, the way society is, they are making BIGGER and BETTER things! But some people are abusing them.THAT is what I don't like. But you DO have a point. Technology DOES have some benefits to society, but it can also have some damage to society as well.
