by Anonymous 12 years ago

What, you think you're too good for public school, little snobby diva?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Uhh yeah.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

no one should be forced to do anything

by Anonymous 14 years ago

wow. this kinda made me hate u a little. but, oh well. if u really are switching to public schools, just remember to have fun, it isn't as bad as it sounds, and u can make it seem like a hell or a heaven

What if you can't afford private school anymore? What are you gonna do?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

We can definitely afford it. Its not a question of money

Some of my friends used to go to private school, and said that they prefer public school after they got used to it. I would give it a try for your parents sake. Moving schools can suck though, I'll give you that.

I completely agree with RubenK.

I went to a private school for 9 years and just started going to a public school. It's not really that bad.

I've been in and out of private schools, and they have some advantages... But public school truly prepares you for real life. You will never be around people as cruel and strange and annoying as they are in public schools, and the laxed rules make for an actually exciting environment. Plus, it teaches you some street smarts, and how to handle people in the real world. It's like a Coleseum(sp?) survival of the fittest, and using tricks you learn along the way.

Trust me, lots of private schools have lax-er rules than public schools. And, although I really wouldn't mind going to public school, I think my particular school prepares me for "the real world" the same amount if not more than a public school would.

I did learn some lessons in private school about the real world as well, but it seems so much more isolated. We'd do bad things, but there were never any dating scandals or skanks or jocks or any social ladder for that matter.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, I suppose it all depends on what school you're going to. I go to an all-girls school, and even here we aren't isolated in the least (I know that sounds very improbable, but really).

I honestly have to agree. Though I've never been to a public school, the private school I go to doesn't have any problems that I might run into in the real world. Everything's just puppies and rainbows and unicorns!! And it's really boring..

You shouldn't be forced to, but I'd give it a try. It's not bad at all, I went to private school for 11 years and I prefer public schools.

i went to public schools for 1st through 8th grade, it was fun. But after going to a private high school I can definitely see why some kids stay in private schools, some kids are just socially awkward because they have only been around the same group of kids with similar beliefs that they have.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, you should not be forced to switch if you don't want to. But I had been in a private school all of my life, and switched to a public school because the private one was getting too expensive, and it wasn't that bad at all.

I've never been to private school. Can someone enlighten me on what it's like because I always imagined the people there would be mean and always argue about who's daddy makes more money.

Private school is a lot like public school except with uniforms. We do bad stuff and have a social ladder and make friends and date eachother. We get bullied and stuff, too. A lot of kids don't have a lot of money at our school- most are just there on scholarships. Though there are those few snobs...

I went to a private christian school for 7 years. My future children will NEVER go to one. EVER. Most of the teachers were those self righteous types that talk to you as if you are trash if you don't agree with them. (I have so many stories, if those things happened in a public school, they'd be fired so quick it'd make their head spin) The worst part is that kids are so impressionable at that age, that they'll believe anything. For most of elementary school, we believed some really messed up stuff. then, as we got a bit older, naturally, we would begin to question stuff. Now, of the students that I have kept in touch with, there seems to be a really clear trend. Half of them are very religious (some of them the self righteous kind like some of the teachers, others not), but the other half totally hates the church and anything to do with it, and thats unfortunate. The teacher's personal beliefs ruined what MAY have been a fulfilling lifestyle 4 them I'd rather have my kids in a regular public school where religion is not even an issue, and as they grow up, let them figure things out on their own. I sure don't have any more idea of what the meaning of life is than anyone else.
