+256 Guys: don't complain about girls being gold diggers if you're the gold giver, amirite?

Well, here's another perspective. People who are very well-to-do probably have a hard time finding true friends or partners because it might be difficult to tell who actually likes you from who is using you.

yeah good point. i should have mentioned in cases where the guy is just blindly giving everything and not getting anything back. i understand it's hard to tell who likes you, but it's only fair to expect something in return for all the generosity, especially in a relationship.

I would have to agree with that. My mom raised me to reciprocate (i.e., if you're going to someone's house for dinner, bring a dessert...) but I could understand that maybe some of these guys get lonely from failed relationships and friendships so maybe they're just buying the affection of a gold digger, but who knows! It could definitely go both ways.

for some reason, a lot of the times a guy and i break up no matter who breaks up with who they always say something along the lines of its because they dont have any money. and it makes no sense to me. theyll take me to the movies or something or maybe to go out to eat but usually with every guy ive dated we just stay in and its not like theyre giving me gifts all the time or anything. i actually dont like it when guys give me stuff even on my birthday cuz i just feel akward.
