Yes, but if you say "You're a douchebag," you're calling that person an all-around douchebag, but if you say "You're being a douchebag," you're just saying that what they're doing at the time is douchey and makes them, well, look like a douchebag

i understand that. but youre still calling them a douche. would you be anyless offended? my councler told my mom (who used the same excuse, that she wasnt "really" calling me a bitch, just that i was "acting" like one) that it doesnt matter, its the same thing.
