-9 A disney princess themed sweet 16 is a good idea, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Please comment why or why not

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because...that's lame

by Anonymous 13 years ago

okay I was just trying to get an idea on whether or not I should

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, for a preteen. But that's okay I dressed as Snow White for my 21st, as it was a "Fictional character" themed party.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I had a few themes in mind but I liked this one and the dress everyone said it looked like a princess... And I figured this would be the last party I could have with that theme... Would a regular princess Yemen be good? Like just castles and such

*theme

I voted YYA, but only because I'm really obsessed with Disney. I have a tumblr. I have Mickey Mouse Jewlery. I also think you could pull it off in a classy way if you tried. You know, just have things inspired by the movies and maybe wear a replica of someone's dress.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well when i was younger I didn't have a favorite, so I thought I'd have the tables as the princesses (including minnie mouse) and have me in an elegant dress to be kind if my own princess

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Nice! That could be cool. I really think this could be elegant if you pulled it off right. Someone I follow on tumblr is planning a Tangled wedding.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(insert username here): I haven't seen tangled :/ I was never a fan of rapunzel Im so nervous cause I don't know if I like the dress Im planning on getting anymore cause it's out of character and I'm doubting the theme that it may be juvenile... could you give me your opinion on the dress?

What about a beach/nautical theme?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So is a hell themed Sweet Sixteen.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Go for a medieval theme, not Disney princess.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

@OP: That kind of depends. If you really like it, and if people aren't going to tease you or anything for it, then do it. But chances are, most people would probably think that having a princess party for your 16th is childish/babyish, and would be mean about it. If you don't care what people think, or if your friends are the type of people who'd go along with it, then do it. It's ultimately up to you. Personally, I wouldn't, but that's just because for one thing, I'd be trying to impress other people, and also because I don't like princesses. Anyway, good luck with your party, whatever you choose!

I actually like the idea :c It could be Disney Princess inspired, but classier.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

thanks

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thanks! My friends were actually pretty excited, well my few friends one sai that shed dress up like one and maybe have my court as different ones

by Anonymous 13 years ago

this would be epic.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You really think so?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

haha, I had a Yule Ball themed sweet 16. feel free to steal the idea.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yule ball? explain please

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The party in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Big dance. lots of fun

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh sorry, don't persecute me, but I've never read nor seen harry potter.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think that would be really cool. Disney Princess theme is great no matter how old you are. Especially as, turning 16, you'll be getting older and won't be a kid anymore therefore it's a good chance to savour a bit of your childhood. It'll also be fun you and your friends dressing up as your favourite princess. I was actually thinking of doing this for my 16th which is later in the year. If that's the sort of thing you and your friends are into, then I'd say go for it. Don't let other random strangers on amirite make your decision for you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well I wanted to see if people would think it was stupid, and thanks. I figured it'd be the last party I could do to have that kind of theme, and I think I found my dress, thanks for the advice! It is very much appreciated! :D

i had a disney princess themed sweet 16!!! it was great!! ur never too old for classic disney!!!!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thanks I might do it(: I'm on the fence between this, a classic princess theme, and oh shit I forgot the last one...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yeah, for kids

by Anonymous 8 years ago

Yeah. Especially if they look like the princess they're imitating. Some would find it rather childish though...Hopefully the guests would enjoy the effort.

by Anonymous 8 years ago

Sure, whatever makes you happy.

by Anonymous 8 years ago

Fun :D. A boy should host it and invite all his female friends to be his Princesses X3. Maybe a couple guys too ;)

D.P. for girls is like candy for Halloween: too much before age 12 and much too much after age 12. Why not try something different? Hire a string quartet. Get a copy of "Sound Of Music" and teach everybody to dance the Landler. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUfWRBGQkz0
