I don't really believe in them, even though I have a fear of ghosts.. confused ;~;

It's the same thing for me. I don't believe in ghosts, but when I'm alone in a dark room, I get really nervous.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, it's like I don't even think they're there, but in a dark room I get pretty darn frightened and start hallucinating.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think that "ghosts" are just demons

by Anonymous 13 years ago

a lot of people who claim that they have seen a ghost, it was probably just sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis is where you wake up paralyzed and sometimes people see hallucinations in sleep paralysis and sometimes see ghosts, even thought they're just hallucinations. I think that's why a lot of people believe in ghosts. just saying.

(Your+name+(optional)): I lived in a house where an old man had died of a sweaty heart attack in his bed. On that exact same date at the exact same time, my dad, who was sleeping in the same room the old man died in, woke up to a thick smell of sweat and a warm presence. My dad doesn't get sleep paralysis and we only found out about the man dying a few days later, so it wasn't his mind playing tricks. I saw him in the middle of the day once, and in the afternoon, and he once slammed a door in the middle of the day. It was one of those doors that is messed up so it stops and clicks before it closes. All the windows and other doors were closed and there wasn't even a breeze. My dad was in the bathroom and had the door a few cm open, when suddenly it just slammed shut. Afterward, I tried to slam it from the distance it was open, and I couldn't. Even with my full body weight(I'm tall so not light), it still clicked before it closed. To slam it in one go, it would have had to ...

been at least halfway open. That or someone with inhuman strength. Explain how either of those could possibly have been sleep paralysis.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I wasn't saying that all encounters with ghosts are sleep paralysis. What you described obviously wasn't, i was just saying that some are.

I was a skeptic until I spent a night in this creepy old hotel in Wales over the summer. It was undoubtedly haunted. In swear, it was just like the Shining. It was a maze. No matter how familiar you thought you were with the layout, you'd always end up in the wrong spot. Doors slammed on their own, the phone rang and no one was on the other end... Absolutely terrifying. It was a beautiful place. Truly beautiful. But there was this inexplicable sense of unease that just completely washed over me when I walked in.

I guess it depends on what you mean by ghosts. Some people think they are humans souls, but others say they're a being of their own. Having experienced an OBE, I would say that I believe humans have spirits.

I don't even know to be honest
