+217 There doesn't seem to be a real way to ask someone if someone is gay or straight without sounding as if you assume they're gay. "Is [someone] gay?" "Is [someone] straight?", amirite?

Just ask what their sexual orientation is. It makes you sound unsure, but it doesn't make you sound presumptuous.

I'd say go with wobbuffet said, and just ask. However, if you are uncomfortable with asking, think to yourself - do you really need to know their orientation?

Or.. Ask them what they think about your shoes. If the response is "I really don't give a fuu-" then they're probably a straight male. troll

"Does (person) like innies or outies?" *point to crotch*

Why would you ask unless you thought they were gay?

"_____ is straight, right?"

My friend asked a guy if he thought J-Lo was hot to see if he was gay. And then he went 'what straight man doesn't like Gay-Lo?' so he obviously got the reason.
